Description

Inositol, also known as cyclohexanol, hexahydroxycyclohexane, cyclohexanol, carnitine, or non rotating Inositol, belongs to the B vitamins. Due to the different orientations of hydroxyl groups relative to the ring plane, there are 9 isomers, of which 7 are non optically active and 2 are optically active. It exists in all biological tissues in free or bound form in nature and is a common component in animal and plant cells. It can be synthesized by digestive tract microorganisms and participates in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in the body. The main form of phosphatidylinositol in animal bodies is phosphatidylinositol, which is most abundant in the brain, myocardium, and skeletal muscle; In plants, Inositol mainly exists in the form of phosphate and can combine with calcium, zinc, iron, etc. to form insoluble compounds that interfere with their digestion and absorption. When there is a lack of Inositol in animal diet, hair loss occurs, which affects development. Inositol is related to intracellular calcium metabolism, and its triphosphate derivatives can be released from lipid conjugates when cells are stimulated, acting as second messengers that can mobilize intracellular calcium ions and regulate many cellular activities such as secretion, metabolism, light conduction, and cell division. Inositol is widely distributed in nature and can be synthesized by the human body, so it is not considered a strictly essential vitamin, but in some cases is considered a “conditionally essential nutrient”. Sources of Inositol in Natural Foods: Grains and legumes: Whole wheat, oats, brown rice, corn, legumes, etc. are rich in content. Nuts and seeds: Almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, etc. are excellent sources. Human body synthesis and demand: The human body mainly relies on the kidneys to synthesize Inositol, which can normally meet basic needs. However, in certain physiological or pathological states, synthesis in the body may be insufficient or consumption may increase, requiring additional intake through diet or supplements.

The application of Inositol

Inositol has many applications

In clinical practice, Inositol combined with complex vitamin B is able to prevent or reduce excessive liver fat deposition, promote hepatic metabolism of fat, lower blood cholesterol, and eliminate infiltration of hepatic cells fat.

It can be used to treat fatty liver, alcoholic liver, atherosclerosis, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, alopecia, hyperlipidemia, etc. Derivatives of Inositol, such as phosphatidylInositol, are one of the components of the cell membrane. Inositol Hexaphosphate and Inositol Hexaphosphate Calcium Magnesium are commonly found in higher plant seeds.

The hexaphosphate is extracted from rice bran and can be used in foods as an antioxidant, a stabilizer, or a preservative. Inositol is widely used in food, medicine, and chemical industries. It has therapeutic effects for liver ulcers and arteriosclerosis. It is also used as a cosmetic raw material and has a high economic value

Functions and effects of physiology

Inositol can help to metabolize cholesterol and fats, as well as emulsify them, which will prevent the formation of fatty liver.

The number of people with fatty livers is increasing as people improve their material lives. It is therefore recommended that Inositol be taken to help with the problem of fatty hepatitis.

Inositol, an essential component in the body, can improve hyperlipidemia and reduce serum lipids. It also has a positive effect on fatty liver and hyperlipidemia. Inositol can protect the eyes and prevent hair loss.

Usage 1

Inositol is a food enhancer that has similar effects to vitamin B1. Use 210-250mg/kg for infants and toddlers’ food; 25-30mg/kg in drinks.

Usage 2

Inositol, an essential vitamin, is necessary for lipid metabolism. It can be used to treat fatty liver, hyperlipidemia, and promote cell growth and metabolism. Food and feed additives are widely used. Additions to feed for fish, shrimp and livestock are common.

Usage 3

Inositol, a B-complex vitamin, can improve cellular nutrition and metabolism, as well as promote growth, appetite, and physical strength.

It can also prevent fat accumulation in the liver and heart. Choline has a synergistic effect on it. It is therefore used to treat hepatic liver steatosis, and cirrhosis. It is widely used as an additive in food and beverages.

Usage 4

Inositol has therapeutic effects for liver ulcers, arteriosclerosis, and other diseases. It is used widely in medicine, the chemical industry, and food. It is also a high-end raw material and has a high economic value.
