Pigment Red 122 belongs to the quinacridone category of pigments in chemical classification. It is a high performance, high end organic red pigment. More specifically, it is a beta crystalline variant of quinacridone, but its chemical structure differs from classical quinacridone red, where Pigment Red 122 is 2,9-dimethylquinacridone.
