Pro-xylane, a xylose-derived derivative, has anti-aging properties. It can improve the fine lines around the neck and reduce aging. Pro-xylane, a glycoprotein mix derived from the xylose sugar, is an anti-aging product.
Pro-xylane is extracted from beech tree and shares the same functions as xylose. This is due to the abundance of xylose found in beech trees.
It is also a surfactant that has good emulsifying and dispersing properties. Pro-xylane in low concentrations was used initially as an emulsifier and dispersant for skin care products. This was a bit under-utilizing its potential.
Due to the presence and relatively low biological activity of Proxylane on the surface of the skin, it is important that Proxylane reaches a higher concentration in order to increase the absorption by osmosis using the concentration gradient.
High concentrations of Proxylane are viscous and not comfortable to use. Pro-xylane is added to most products in a low proportion.
