It was then marketed under the brand name Isordil. Isosorbide Dinitrate is widely used in many countries. Chemical Properties of Isosorbide Dinitrate Isosorbide Dinitrate is white powder. It has a melting point of 70, is easily soluble with chloroform, acetone and water, but not soluble at all in ethanol. Odorless. It is less explosive than nitroglycerin.
